This Company is mentioned in the Philatelical Journal Vol I, p. 30. but no particulars are given.

Only 2 copies known - on plain buff envelope. Color black.


Where it connected with John Freeman's steamer Expr to N.Y.

One of the earliest expresses (?)Cowes(?) is as Langston in 1850 which operated between Marysville and Downieville and subsquently to S. Fr. He was as (???) a rival to (???), but they finally became partners
