Rumsey Auction's To Offer Lampson Collection

One of the last old time collections of western material to come up for auction in the coming year.

Mr. Lampson (WCS# 201) passed away in April, 1976. As most of you know his collection has remained in the family for over thirty years as the family did not want to dispose of their Father's Collection. Several people over the years have tried to purchase this accumulate of western material. All have been turned away, most never even got to view the material. I understand that this material will finally be made available to collectors within the year.

TAX DEDUCTION

Are you looking for a tax break that will, at the same time help advance the studies of the history of the early mails in the west? Western Cover Society is a Non Profit organization that is seeking funds to help in the publication of a series of books dealing with study of the early express carriers in the west. The first volume, of a planned four volume set will be ready for the printer in early 2009. Each print run is projected to run around $40,000.
