ATLANTIC & PACIFIC EXPRESS
WHITNEY & ELY’S EXP. This was also called the Atlantic and Pacific Express, established June 18, 1849, by Elisha Ely of San Francisco, and Chas.A. Whitney of Panama, to run between San Francisco, Panama, Havana, New Orleans, and New York, connecting with Adams & Co. of the East. The San Francisco office was in the Parker Bldg.
