In Memoriam – Stanley Piller

Stamley M. Piller (WCS # 591), passed away in November 2021.

Stanley Piller recently passed away in New York. Stanley was one of the most knowledgeable stamp dealers in America. He was already a fixture at almost every stamp show when I began collecting in 1992. Stanley was always willing to share his knowledge with collectors. At shows you could find his chairs filled with collectors, examining his large inventory. Stanley loved to explain why you needed to buy an item in his stock. Stanley was loud and opinionated, but also very knowledgeable.
